How do I sign in?

InstantOwl uses a hosted sign-in screen. You can create an account and sign in with an email or a linked third-party account such as Google. The exact options you see may vary. If you are new, see Getting started for what happens right after you sign in.

How do I sign out?

Look for Sign out in the navbar. Tapping it ends your session and returns you to the sign-in screen.

How do I change the app's appearance?

Go to Settings, and under Appearance you can Choose a light or dark theme, or follow your device's setting. This is the only display preference in InstantOwl right now. On mobile, the theme toggle lives inside Settings rather than the top bar.

Does InstantOwl cost anything?

InstantOwl is in open beta and currently free to use. There is no billing screen, no plan comparison, and no upgrade prompt anywhere in the app right now. If that changes, this page will be updated.

Will I get emails from InstantOwl?

New accounts are enrolled in a short onboarding email sequence that introduces core features over your first ten days: capturing a recording, turning it into multiple output types, organizing with projects and tasks, and importing from YouTube or files. Every InstantOwl email includes an Unsubscribe link in the footer. Tapping it takes you to a confirmation page: Unsubscribe from emails?, followed by the reassurance You'll stop getting product emails from InstantOwl. Your account and recordings are untouched. This link is the only way to opt out of onboarding emails; there is no in-app toggle for it.

What settings can I manage in-app?

Your Settings page currently covers:

• Appearance: light, dark, or device-matched theme.
• Custom Outputs: your own saved document formats, described in Formats.
• Personalized Dictionary: term corrections that get applied to your transcripts and outputs, described in Voice corrections.

Profile details like your name and email are managed through the sign-in provider's own screens rather than a custom InstantOwl settings page.
